India is a country that has diversity and influence of people lifestyle as well as the cuisine. Each region of country has their own style, flavor, and taste in food.  But when it comes to South India region it talks more about the sharp, vibrant and contrasting color thing and same thing reflects on their food too. The usage of spices in South India is more than the various region of the country.  

                    So, talking more about the south Indian food here we got a new restaurant that serves the 6 states thalis from south India region (Andhra, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra) and the taste of each thali will make you to understand how much contrasting flavors does each state carry. The thalis over here are simple but soulful food to enjoy.

                 Coming to the ambiance of the place as soon as you enter the place the outside section of the restaurant is just olden days south Indian house with aagan/veranda with small decorative and hanging diya’s. Right now, they are serving only 4 states thali and the rest 2 will be added on the menu by coming next week. Each thali consist of 13 to 14 varieties of items and cost of this thalis are around Rs 250/- each.

Food:

Andhra Thali:

Kobbari Annam (Coconut flavored rice), Upma Pesarattu, Pandumirapakaya Pachadi (Red Chilli Chutney), Mamidikaya Pappu (Raw Mango Dal), Guntivankaya Kura (Eggplant Curry), Bhendakaya Veppudu (Fried Okra), Tomato charu (Tomato Tamarind based gravy), Kakarakaya Pulusu (Bitter gourd Tamarind based gravy), Rice, Roti, Desserts, Allam Pachadi (Sweet ginger chutney) Papad and Curd.

Telangana Thali:

 Kobbari Saddi (Coconut flavored rice), Ponganalu (Black bean fritters), Gongura Pachadi (Sorrel leave chutney), Cabbage Tomato Kurra, Vankaya Veppudu (Fried Eggplant), Mamidikaya Pappu (Raw Mango Dal), Chamadumpa Pulusu (Aravi gravy), Pachadi Pulusu (Tamarind based gravy), Rice, Roti, Desserts, Allam Pachadi (Sweet ginger chutney) Papad and Curd.

Kerala Thali:

Thenga Choru (Coconut flavored rice), Uniyappam (Black bean fritters), Pineapple Pachadi (Sweet and tangy chutney), Varutharacha Sambar (Mixed veggies dal),  Ullitheeyal (Onion and Coconut curry), Beans Thoran (Bean and coconut fry), Thakali Rasam (Tomato Tamarind based gravy), Mor Kuzhambu (Dahi ki kadi), Rice, Roti, Desserts, Lemon pickle, Papad and Curd.    

Maharashtra Thali:

Vatana Bhaat (Peas Pulao), Pav Bhaji, Kothimbir Vadi (Coriander and Bengal gram flour based fritters), Vaaran (Dal), Bharli Bhindi (Stuffed okra), Vangyache Bharit (Baigan Bharta), Takachi Kadi (Dahi ki kadi), Rice, Roti, Desserts, Lemon pickle, Papad and Curd.

Addons items:

Fish Curry, Fish fry and Mutton fry

As each state is connect with one or two food items but with different names and slight changes in taste and texture of these items. As we were 4 – 6 people so I got the chance to taste all the 4 thalis and they were really amazing from Pachadi to curry everything was authentic and tasty.
