Café Nook

A newly opened café in the by lanes of  Begumpet, Secunderabad area was on my bucket list of cafés I need to visit. So, last week I made a visit to this happening place in the Sindhi colony. Though you might find many Café Coffee Day or small cafés in the Sindhi colony, they all serve only veg food. So, Café Nook is the only café in the Sindhi colony that serves some delectable non-veg food. The Menu is curated by one of the known chefs of Hyderabad, and he is none other than Chef Amey a very talented chef who has got lots of experience under his belt.

Ambiance:

The place has got some ancient Moroccan interior with white and tranquil blue walls along with minimal hanging arts on the wall to give good contrast and the seating arrangement is made more colorful and vibrant to match the interior.

Food – Let’s talk about it:

Chicken Popcorn: Small chicken chunks well dipped in the batter and deep-fried to a perfect crisp. And it has got some tangy masala drizzled on the top and served along with in-house dip sauce which was wonderful and it has elevated the dish taste.

Chicken 65: One of my favorite dishes which I always love to have at any given point of time in my life. It’s a portion of soul food for me and the taste was amazing. As per my taste palette, the dish needs to be a little spicier.

Salt & Pepper Cottage Cheese: This dish has stolen my heart the moment I have taken a bite of it. A simple dish yet some much of flavor and texture it has got. The main ingredient of the dish is cottage cheese which was really fresh and soft because it has absorbed all the flavors from salt, pepper, and other spices.

Tempura Prawns: This one I really want to forget about it because firstly the prawns were not all seasoned with salt and the batter was too thick which looks like it has got bread crumbs in the coating.

Tomato Bruschetta:  The perfectly cut French baguette bread and topped with lots of tomato cubes soaked in a dash of balsamic vinegar. The tomato taste was getting overpowered with too much usage of balsamic vinegar.

Fiery Sriracha Chicken Wings: These were love I must say I just loved it. Chicken wings are one of my most favorite dishes and I love to hog on it. Those sweet and sour taste and a hint of smokey flavor were lit.

Cheese Garlic Bread: It has been a usual affair for all the cafés to serve garlic bread and there have been many variants of it but few places have got some amazing cheesy garlic bread and this place is one of them.

Mixed Veg Platter: This mixed platter contains stuffed mushrooms, Potato wedges, French fries, Veg poppers, and onion rings. It was a good one which gives lots of options for customers rather than ordering individual items and wasting it.

Mexican Chicken Nachos: They have got in-house nachos which were really fresh fluffy and crunchy. The overall experience was good love the sauce and all. It has got a profuse amount of chicken cubes which was superb.

Half a Half Veg & Non-Veg Pizza: As there was a lot of food already available on the table, so we decided to make half a half pizza in veg and non-veg. In the veg, we got artichokes and olive pizza it was perfect and the paneer pizza was lit. The non-veg Pizza we had BBQ chicken pizza and pesto chicken pizza.

Cottage Cheese Malfatti: This dish was one of the star dishes and it has blown our mind with taste and texture. Fresh cottage cheese balls with some ricotta cheese and a balanced amount of spinach placed on the tomato-based gravy. The taste was fantastic the Malfatti was melting in the mouth and tomato gravy was perfectly blending with the taste.

Peri-peri Chicken Steak: Another star dish really amazing and delicious dish I have tasted in recent times. It’s a chicken breast cooked in peri-peri marination and next, it got sauté veggies and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were completely dipped in peri-peri sauce which was excellent. When you take a sip of it first it tastes sweet and then the heat from peri-peri masala hits on your throat. The sauce got a sweet taste from fresh fruit juice that is pineapple and orange.

Desserts:

Chocolate Mousse: This one was impeccable one never thought a chocolate mousse with walnut will taste that amazingly. It became a little thicker than usual one the taste was on par than those.

Tiramisu: My favorite one but hard to find a non-alcoholic one. So, when I saw it on the menu I immediately asked the waiter does it contain alcohol, and he said no I instantly ordered it and it was really yum.

  1. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

  2. There are definitely a whole lot of details like that to take into consideration. That could be a great level to deliver up. I provide the thoughts above as common inspiration however clearly there are questions like the one you carry up where an important thing might be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if finest practices have emerged around things like that, however I am positive that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both girls and boys really feel the impression of just a moment抯 pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.

  3. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appearance. I must say you have done a fantastic job with this. In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Safari. Superb Blog!
