“Hello fraands Mandi khaalo”

Hyderabad city has become a food city for the people who love to try different cuisines and “Arabic cuisine” is one of them. I have been to many restaurants that serve Mandi as one of the dishes from their menu or proper Arabic restaurant that serves Mandi as there one of the main forte dishes on the menu. Something or other become the roadblocks for this restaurants. Recently I have been to this place which is at the heart of IT corporate office hub of Hyderabad. I think this is the first rooftop Arabic cuisine restaurant in Hyderabad. 


I must say I have fallen for this place as the ambiance is not like all the other Arabic restaurant is but something different. As the place is divided into three section indoor, outdoor and semi-rooftop. The indoor seating arrangement is made as authentic Arabian style seating of the floor with a small table placed at the center of the people seating surrounding it. The Outdoor has the open sky with table and chair along with the natural cool breeze from the heaven been blown. The semi-rooftop has the great night view with the cool breeze to the chill and enjoy the hot food with friends.



Hara Masala Chicken: The herbs used in the marination were perfectly blended with the chicken and the smokey flavor from the charcoal was a little bit dominating which was enhancing the tikka flavor. 

Barbecue Chicken Tikka: The tikkas were apt I really like the flavor well-marinated chicken pieces as the flavors went inside the chicken and kept the juiciness and moist inside it.

Chicken Wings: One of star dish for the night. Nice juicy, soft, tender from inside and crisp outside was one of the most liked dished and mouthwatering too.

Tandoori Chicken Tikka: It’s a usual chicken tikka kebab but it wasn’t dry like we find it in another restaurant.

Fish Tikka: Another star dish for the night those hot and crispy layer outside moist and juicy fish fillet inside was yum. Soul touching dish for me. 

Garlic Prawns: I love prawns and over here I have become a fan of it. Nice juicy prawns tossed in spices and deep fried was heavenlicious.

Main Course:

Mix Mandi (contains chicken, marag mutton, fish tikka):  One of the best mandis I have tasted in Hyderabad. The rice grains were perfectly cooked and flavors from the meat were well infused inside the rice. All the meats were tender, juicy, soft, and moist. Along with that, we had 4 gravies which were served to be eaten with mandi.

Juicy Mutton Marag Mandi: This mutton mandi is completely into next level. First of all, we have flavored rice on the top of that mutton pieces were served which is cooked in mutton marg (It’s an Arabic mutton soup) which is being poured on the rice. The flavors you will get when you will mesmerize you and take you somewhere in the food coma.

Veg Mandi: This was the first time I was trying something as veg mandi as I never had and never ever heard about it before this place. The rice was well flavored like other mandis but over here veg stock is being used to cook the rice. And it was topped with aloo tikkis and other veggies. I must it really different but a great experience for me.


Ummali: An Arabic dessert made of simple milk, bread, and sugar. The important part is cooking the milk. It is a slow cooking process the more you cook the milk the more flavors you get to eat. And I was bang on I have tried it was exactly same delicious.
