#FoodKhalifa #TastingSession #Reviewmode #ByInvite
Every weekend should start with amazing place, food, ambiance, and company. To start the amazing weekend I was invited over here for a food tasting session by the management and the food was on the house.
I have a lot about this place for its ambiance, food, pool side fun, and music. So I was fascinated with the invite and about the wonderful experience, I will be going through. The place is very much spacious with lawn seating area, then two indoor seating area with the bar counter and one has the dance floor too. And last but the least the swimming pool has been converted with the seating and walkable with floor flowing on the floor like swimming pool feel.
As soon we have taken our seats, we were served with cool Green Apple Mojito (mocktail). The drink was quite refreshing. Then the manager gave us the list of set menu items selected by the chef for us to dine-in.
After the refreshing drink, we were served with Badami Chicken Shorba. The Shorba was hot, creamy and tasting. With every sip of the soup the creaminess, small Badami chunks and shredded chicken can be tasted. So after soup, the starters started coming to our table. Singapore Chilly Prawns, Schezwan Chicken Wings, Chilly Butter Garlic Baby Corns, Three Cheese Baked Mushrooms, Tuscan Fish, Sheekh Kebab, Pungi Pungi Deep fried stuffed Mushrooms, Chukandari Tandoori Jhinga, Penne Alfredo Chicken Pasta, and Veg Harvest Pizza.
So my pick from these many items where
Singapore Chilly Prawns: The prawns were perfectly cooked and well tossed in the sauce which kept the outer coating of the nice and crisp. The flavor was little sweet and tangy.
Chukandari Tandoori Jhinga: The chukandari tandoori jhinga was marinated with the beet root juice and other spice then cooked in the tandoor. The spices that have been used for marinated completely over came with the beet root earthiness and giving the perfect taste of all the spices.
Three cheese Baked Mushrooms: This item was the star of the evening crispy creamy and cheesy. The dish was both deep fried and then baked with the three types of cheese on the top of it.
Pungi Pungi Deep Fried Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms: This dish another version of three cheese mushroom over here the mushroom is stuffed with cheese and deep fried. I liked both the items as the texture of this dishes soft creamy and succulent.
Penne Alfredo Chicken Pasta: The taste of the pasta was similar to all the place I have had it, but in these, it was little on the creamy and cheesy side. The pasta and its ingredients were perfectly coated with sauce and perfectly toasted Garlic bread accompanied with the pasta.
Veg Harvest Pizza: Thin crust pizza with fresh vegetables and cheese were perfect on the look. But the taste was completely dominated by broccoli which was giving after taste of bitterness. But that can be overcome with the extra cheese topping.
The other starters were good but sheekh kebab and Tuscan Fish needs little bit attention as they both were dry and soggy in eating.
So after taking a small break of 15 minutes from the wonderful starters, we moved on to the main course. So we were served Dal Makhani, Mixed Veggies in Coriander Sauce, Dum Nalli Gosht, Butter Chicken Masala, Paneer Butter Masala, Assorted bread basket and Chicken Dum Biryani.
I Like Dum Nalli Gosht, butter chicken all-time favorite then Paneer butter masala and the biryani was okayish kind of type.
Coming to the end was the dessert part comes we had two options one was ras malai and another one was gulab jamun. The taste was not that exciting or the best but it was okay. The taste can be much better than this.
