As soon as you step into the restaurant, you are transported to a serene environment, with minimalist décor and a calming ambiance reminiscent of a Zen garden. Warm lighting, wooden accents, and Japanese-inspired motifs create an inviting atmosphere that feels both refined and comforting.
The culinary experience at TG’s is nothing short of extraordinary. We began our meal with the Tom Kha Gai soup, a delicate blend of coconut milk, lemongrass, and chicken. This Thai-inspired dish was a revelation—its smooth texture and balanced flavors made it a perfect start. Adding the Ebi Tempura Ginger Daikon Soy offered a delightful crunch, with the tempura batter light and airy, while the Tori Kare-age (Japanese fried chicken) was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfect for sharing. The live grill experience of Spiced Edamame provided a great interlude, offering a burst of umami in each bite. But this fine appetiser has stole the show Crispy Fried Garlic is something that was out of the box experience which is not there on the menu but under the sleeves of the chef’s those juicy crunchy garlic chips were out of the world.
The main course was a culinary highlight. The New Zealand Lamb Chops with Black Pepper Sauce were cooked to perfection, with the tender lamb paired beautifully with the bold, peppery sauce.
For those looking to explore more Thai influences, the Tiger Prawns in Thai Yellow Curry Sauce was a standout dish. Succulent prawns, perfectly cooked, swam in a rich, aromatic curry sauce that had just the right amount of spice, leaving a lingering warmth on the palate.
No Japanese meal is complete without a bowl of noodle. TG’s offers both Soba Noodles and Udon Noodles, each with distinct textures and flavors. The soba, made from buckwheat, had a wholesome, earthy flavour, while the udon noodles, thick and chewy, comforting and flavorful.
To cap off the meal, TG’s dessert menu was equally impressive. The Bomb Alaska was a dramatic showstopper, with a perfect balance of hot and cold. The Parcel of Milk Crisps was a delicate dessert, crispy on the outside with a creamy, sweet filling. But the true star was the Salted Caramel Japanese Cheesecake—its velvety texture and rich caramel notes made it a must-try for dessert lovers.
TG’s at Hyatt Gachibowli offers more than just a meal; it is a well-curated culinary experience that blends Japanese traditions with modern touches. Whether you are in the mood for a light snack or an elaborate meal, TG’s will leave you with an unforgettable dining experience.
