Now Hyderabad and hyderabadi people are really gearing up for the pubs in the city. So here a new club has been started in the city name as Sounds & Spirits in Kavuri Hills, Madhapur, Hyderabad. It’s a newly opened place. So #FoodieSquad was invited for a food tasting session. Food and drinks (Mocktails and Alcohol) were on the house as the place is pub they serve finger food.
Ambiance:
As soon as you enter inside the gate there is a small passage in S- shape with both the sides has mirror fitted then with the next gate you get into the pub. When you enter there is a centered circular bar in the middle and all side has C- cube seating arrangements. We got the seat right behind the bar. There is DJ right side of the entrance gate in front of that dance floor is available. The crowd gets in around 10 or 10:30 pm which fills the complete dance floor and awesome music played by DJ. Yesterday was Bollywood night and we enjoyed like hell.
Food:
Fish Tikka:
One of the best fish tikka I have had in recent time. Perfectly cooked moist and juicy piece and well marinated in the spices the cumin and coriander powder was little bit dominating but also giving a perfect taste to it.
Hot Chicken Wings:
The wings were good and spicy well coated with the spicy sauce accompanied with ketchup dip.
Tangdi Kebab:
It was good but need little bit more to cook and the marination didn’t went inside completely and ginger garlic paste was dominating a lot.
Tandoori Prawns:
The prawn was almost having the same flavor like fish tikka but prawns were little bit on spicy side than the fish. It was amazing and I liked it.
Drums of Heaven:
The drums sticks were good but the batter under which it has been coated was thick and flavor of the chicken was completely soaked by the batter. But it was tasting better with green chutney instead of ketchup.
Chef’s Special Chicken Tikka:
Everyone has its unique style of cooking what I have found is the chicken marination of this tikka was little bit different than other as it was very much dominated with green herbs mixture which holds the moist of the chicken inside it. I really liked it and it should be recommended dish for others.
Fish Fingers:
It has reminded me about the Kolkata style fish finger served in streets along with Mughlai parathas. The fish fingers were really amazing moist and soft the batter was not that thick and on the top little bit of chat masala was sprinkled.
Mocktails:
We were served with different mocktails
- Mango bite.
- Water melon cooler.
- Minto Orange.
- Red Bulls.
Service:
The service was little bit slow and it was taking little bit of time to get your order on the table. The service has to be speed up as per the requirement of the customers so that everyone enjoys very well.
